Inspired by the profound concept of caffè sospeso (Italian for "suspended coffee")—a practice where a cup of coffee is paid for in advance as an anonymous act of kindness—Vetspital’s “Ways to Give” Program extends this spirit of generosity to the animal world.

At Vetspital, we believe in supporting pets and their families who are in need. To achieve this, we offer two ways for you to help:

1. Contribute to the “Ways to Give” Fund: After visiting Vetspital with your pet, you can choose to donate to our special account dedicated to helping needy pets.
2. Register as a Donor: By submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form, you can become a registered donor, ready to help a pet in need in the future.

How to Fund This Initiative?

We’ve made it simple to contribute to this noble cause:

• One-Time Contribution: Make a lump-sum donation.
• Recurring Contributions: Choose to support monthly, quarterly, or annually through RTGS transfer.

How the Program Works

When a needy pet—whether a rescued or stray animal, an injured or infected pet, or a pet whose owner cannot afford treatment—visits Vetspital, we follow a structured process:

1. Case Verification: Vetspital conducts a preliminary assessment to confirm the legitimacy of the case.
2. Fund Allocation: If deemed genuine, funds from the “Ways to Give” account are utilized for treatment.
3. Communication with Donors:
   • If the account balance is low or depleted, Vetspital notifies registered donors who have expressed their willingness to contribute.
   • Donors receive details about the pet’s condition and a tentative estimate of the subsidized treatment cost.
4. Flexible Support: Donors can choose to cover the full cost or contribute partially.
5. Ongoing Updates: Throughout the pet’s treatment, donors are kept informed via SMS or calls with daily updates until the treatment outcome is achieved.
